After graduating from Georgetown with a degree in Marketing, Liz headed straight for the bright lights and middling salaries of the NYC media industry, where she worked for years at MTVNetworks / Nickelodeon alongside Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants. (Yes, she once knew the secret recipe for slime.)
Liz then headed off to Wharton with a vague notion of switching careers. Something she knew for certain was that she had no interest in working at startups. Following graduation, Liz promptly proceeded to spend the next decade working at startups. Her path led her from Philly to Chicago to San Francisco, from Zipcar to HotelTonight to an e-commerce company co-founded with Wharton classmate (and now husband!); all three companies were acquired. Today Liz enjoys advising, investing in and consulting for consumer tech companies from her Los Angeles base.
When not chasing after her energetic toddlers, she loves traveling (50+ countries and counting), writing (recently published in The New York Times), and eating as many types of pizza as possible (but always cheese).
While at Wharton, Liz was the President of the Media & Entertainment Club, served as an Omnicom Fellow, co-authored a research paper with the Philadelphia Eagles, among other ventures. Hands down, her favorite activity was serving as a Leadership Fellow, where she put into practice her love for coaching, mentoring and feedback. As a non-traditional candidate, Liz is a champion for the underdog who digs deep to uncover the unique personal stories of every individual. She believes in the life-changing nature of the MBA experience, and she’s passionate about helping others realize that opportunity.
