Carol Toye has read more than two thousand college application essays — not as a consultant, but as a trained University of California application reader, evaluating five hundred files a year through the same holistic review process that decides who gets in. That experience sits underneath everything Carol does: when she tells a student how an admissions committee will read a sentence, she is not guessing.

Carol was born in the United Kingdom, earned an MBA from Aston Business School and a French CPA from Poquelin, and has lived and worked across seven countries spanning Europe, Asia, and the United States. The career before admissions consulting included financial services, marketing, founding a tutoring center in London, lecturing at two of the top universities in France, and six years as a working painter in Singapore. Every move was a reinvention — and that instinct shapes how Carol sees student potential. She does not believe in putting applicants in boxes. The possibilities, in her experience, are wider than most students or families realize.

Carol’s international range is where the expertise sharpens further. She is a British Council Certified Agent and Counsellor, an HEC interviewer, and a member of NACAC, IECA, and NAFSA. Her clients regularly receive offer portfolios spanning the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia — built through simultaneous application timelines that Carol manages across different national systems, exam formats, and enrollment deadlines. She is fluent in French and coaches in both languages. Admits include Wharton, Brown, Vanderbilt, Berkeley, Oxford, UCL, and Toronto with scholarship.
