History

Found in 1793, UNC Chapel Hill is the oldest public university in the U.S., and was the only university to award degrees during the 1700s in America. Though there are way more universities today than in the 18th century, student still come from all over North Carolina, the other 49 states, and over 100 countries to study at UNC Chapel Hill.

Fulbrights

In 2011-2012, 18 students from UNC Chapel Hill received Fulbright grants, ranking UNC third among ALL public universities, and FIRST in the Southeastern U.S. for Fulbright awards. Wowza.

Kenan-Flagler

UNC Chapel Hill boasts one of the top graduate business programs in the country, and undergrads who want to get their business careers started early can pursue the Bachelor of Science in Business program offered through Kenan-Flagler. For students who don’t feel ready to commit to a full-on business major, Kenan-Flagler also offers a business minor. Sweet.
