Tarini Nayak
From her international experience to her incredible problem solving, and wide range of interests, Tarini wears many hats, and uses all of them to help make your application as exciting as possible.
Tarini is quite a globe-trotter, earning her MBA degree from London Business School after spending 8 years in Singapore – including 4 years as a student at Singapore Management University. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance, she joined Louis Dreyfus Commodities as a Business Controller where she learned all about agribusiness – what it takes to bring food from the farm to your fork. Over time however her love for solving problems, working with people from different backgrounds and helping colleagues build up their skills drove her to apply to business school and seek opportunities in consulting.
As a kid, Tarini always wanted to be a teacher, and while that didn’t pan into her full-time job, she’s found tremendous satisfaction and success in tutoring and mentoring others. Notably, in between queuing for dim sum at Din Tai Fung and getting her hands messy with some chili crab in Singapore, she volunteered at Aidha to teach foreign domestic workers computer and financial literacy skills, helping them achieve financial independence and sometimes even set up their own businesses. Then, during her time at LBS she was involved in quite a few mentorship programs – from helping early-careers students as a Peer Leader to assisting people looking for jobs in Asia. After receiving her MBA she joined Accenture Strategy as a Consultant in their Singapore office and is equally excited, committed and devoted to providing the best to clients there, and at Admissionado.
A big believer in striking a balance, Tarini regularly enjoys running and swimming as well as trying new restaurants and has a huge sweet tooth (possibly a whole set of 32 sweet teeth). She’s even developing her own series of maps marking her recommendations on where to wine and dine across the world! She’s a Grade 5 pianist, but it’s not all classical: she’s a recently acquired love for reggaeton. She loves meeting new people and hearing more about their experiences and ambitions and is looking forward to translating some of these stories into compelling applications.
