Columbia University, New York University, Stanford University

Robert grew up on the campus of the Georgia college where his father worked and, from an early age, he saw the undergraduate admissions process from the inside. That background came in handy when it came time for him to do his own applications, catapulting him all the way to Stanford. Robert went on to receive his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Creative Writing.

During summers, he worked primarily in journalism at a variety of publications and media outlets from BuzzFeed.com to the Washington Desk at National Public Radio. He also began publishing his poetry and prose in a number of respected literary magazines and journals, sometimes alongside poet laureates and other celebrated writers.

Following graduation, Robert moved to New York City and held positions at Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant and then the online art market platform Artsy.net. Last year, upon completing a draft of the manuscript for his first novel, he relocated to Berlin to edit, re-edit, and pursue publication — while also eating lots of Turkish food. Recently, he received his Masters in Fine Arts for Fiction Writing.

Robert brings four years of experience tutoring Bay Area high school students to Admissionado, as well as extensive creative and academic writing experience. A keen and analytical reader, he is an expert at spotting the hole that unravels the essay or the thread that pulls it together.
