James Wood
Warner James Wood is a working screenwriter who has adapted bestselling novels and won awards for his original work. He arrived at this career by a circuitous route: studying Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University, receiving a Master of Fine Arts in poetry from the University of Michigan's Helen Zell Writers' Program and then spending a few years in NYC structuring derivative products for Credit Suisse. This motley yet prestigious experience informs both his creative projects and his guidance to clients at Admissionado.
More recently, James has made his home in Hollywood, where he completed a screenwriting fellowship through the American Film Institute. He offers clients sharp, incisive insights on their application’s story arc, deploying a critical eye honed in high-stakes pitch meetings both in the board rooms of New York and the restaurant patios of L.A. James believes a well-told personal story is essential—to get into university, and beyond.
