Multidisciplinary Action Projects (MAP)
This is the cornerstone of Ross’ emphasis on real-world, action-based learning. Teams of 4-6 first year MBAs devote themselves for an entire semester to a corporate, entrepreneurial, or non profit project for a real client. MBAs go on site and provide quantitative and analytical recommendations, culminating in a written report and in person presentation. Companies include American Express, Whirlpool, eBay, United Airlines, Toyota, and more.
Leadership Crisis Challenge
Student teams compete to present a leadership point of view on a crisis case situation – and must make their case in front of an external corporate board before a winner is chosen.
Zell Lurie Institute
MBAs get hands on experience managing $3M in the school’s Wolverine Venture Fund to invest in early stage and emerging growth companies. 18 MBAs are chosen to work with venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to seek, screen, and negotiate investments.
To kick off your MBA, all new students participate in a hands-on four-day, action based learning program for leadership development. Team building exercises and leadership training.
Tauber Institute for Global Operations
Focusing on operations management, there is a 14-week consulting project program where Ross MBAs work with corporate sponsors to resolve operations, supply chain, and manufacturing issues.
