Essay Analysis: Dartmouth Tuck School of Business 2018-19
July 24, 2018 :: Admissionado Team
Tuck has come out with their essays, which include an interesting new take on the standard MBA goals essay.
Tuck used to have a very traditional “goals prompt,” but now they’ve busted it up into a series of (very) short answer questions. This effectively forces applicants to follow Tuck’s desired structure for the essay. On one hand, that makes things much simpler; on the other, Tuck applicants now face the unenviable task of shoving content that might take paragraphs on other apps into ~50 words or less.
The other essays focus on relatively common MBA themes, but don’t be fooled by the seemingly straightforward prompts. Tuck’s website features guidance that suggests Tuck is actually looking for something more specific and unique. Take a look at our analyses!
