Military Scholarships Deadline Update 2019

February 15, 2019 :: Admissionado Team

Education benefits are a key selling point for the U.S. military, but the money doesn’t stop at the GI Bill or ROTC.

Veterans and often their children are eligible for a number of private or nonprofit scholarships, many of which have deadlines in the next few months. These programs can be particularly beneficial to those who have already exhausted their government benefits (a category which, in our experience, includes many MBA/Masters applicants).

The rules for military scholarships can be fairly complex, so carefully investigate the links below if you are interested in any of these offerings.

Pat Tillman Scholarships’ application is due February 28, worth $10,000

The Women Marines Association’s application is due Feburary 28, worth $1,500-$3,000

eLearners’ application is due February 28, worth $1,000

The Army Nurse Corps’ application is due March 30, worth $3,000

Military MBA’s application is due March 31, with a total of $20,000 available

Student Veterans of America and Raytheon’s application is due April 26, worth $10,000

AMVETS’ application is due April 30, worth $4,000 or $12,000

Veterans of Foreign Wars’ application is due April 30, worth $5,000

AAAA’s application is due May 1, worth between $1,000 and $12,000

Ankin Law Office Scholarship for Military Veterans application is due July 15, worth $1,000

Keller Law Offices’ application is due July 15, worth $1,000

The Yellow Ribbon Program may involve deadline set by participating schools

Ankin Law Annual Veteran Scholarship’s application is due July 15, worth $1,000

Ankin Law Annual Disabled Veterans Scholarship’s application is due July 15, worth $1,000

Sharp Law Offices Military Scholarship’s application is due July 15, worth $1,000

Steinberg, Goodman, Kalish Military Scholarship’s application is due July 15, worth $1,000

Keller Law Offices Military Scholarship’s application is due July 15, worth $1,000

DePaolo & Zadeikis Law Offices Military Scholarship’s application is due July 15, worth $1,000

Langer & Langer Law Offices Military Scholarship’s application is due July 15, worth $1,000

Strom Law Offices Military Scholarship’s application is due July 15, worth $1,000

As you can see, there’s a lot of money out there to be had! The Raytheon and Pat Tillman scholarships are particularly notable for the amount of money they pay out. Many applicants may also be able to get scholarships from local chapters of nationwide veterans’ associations, which are often less formal and available only to nearby veterans. Many of these scholarships may not even be advertised on the internet. A little real-world research can net you opportunities with higher acceptance rates, so reach out to local groups and vets in your network.
