School Profiles: New York University
December 12, 2012 :: Admissionado Team
The most interesting thing about NYU is not just that it’s located in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, but that the campus is completely immersed in the city atmosphere without any kinds of borders separating you from the “Big Apple.” No matter what your major is, NYC is the place to score internships, make connections, and experience “the city that never sleeps” in its fullest.
It’s the largest private university in the US, so you’re definitely bound to meet lots and lots of new people. When you get bored of exploring the big city, they can take part in one of the hundreds of on-campus organizations that are offered including Greek Life and NYU-TV: a real TV station complete with talk shows, news, movies, and independent content. If you want to study outside of the city for a little while, NYU has campuses in Germany, Italy, Argentina, China, and Israel just to name a few.
It should also be noted that NYU is not a big sports school and does not compete in any major national divisions. But then again, who really cares about college sports when Yankee Stadium is only a short subway ride away?
