Richard is an entrepreneur, artist, and producer whose work has taken him from the Big Easy to the Big Apple.
He earned his BA in Theater and History from Tulane University in New Orleans, where he arrived for freshman orientation just two days before Hurricane Katrina. For ten years after graduating, Richard worked in the arts and culture scene in New Orleans. He founded two performance venues and a production company, and helped launch three arts festivals. He was even named “New Orleans Theater Person of the Year” and won a few acting awards.
The party can’t last forever, however, and Richard eventually decided to head to Columbia University to earn his Master’s Degree in Arts Administration. While earning his master’s, Richard worked in the Enrollment Marketing Department at Teachers College, Columbia University, giving him a behind-the-scenes view of the admissions process. He also interned (virtually) with the Piramal Museum of Art in Mumbai India, helping them reach a global audience.
Richard currently serves as Executive Director for Landmark on Main Street, a performing arts and community center right outside of New York City in Port Washington, New York. When not helping his students achieve their dream admits, he tends to his rooftop garden. He’s so close to growing a pumpkin!Start Working With Richard
