Lizzy Steiner

Elizabeth Steiner (aka Lizzy) holds a B.A. in English and French Studies from Wesleyan University and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Fiction) from Columbia University.

Born in New York City and raised between Florida and the Berkshires, Lizzy returned to NYC full time in 2014. She has eight years of experience as a writing teacher and tutor, including positions at Hunter College, the Borough of Manhattan Community College, Columbia’s Summer Program for High School Students, and Wesleyan’s Writing Workshop.

She wrote a short story collection (about Floridian girlhood!) for her M.F.A. thesis and is currently at work on a novel. Her writing has appeared in SRQ Magazine and LitHub.

When not reading, writing, or editing, Lizzy can be found on the hunt for the best cold brew in NYC.
