David Cante

College

Stanford University

Born and raised in a working-class family on the southside of Chicago, David is a proud first-generation college student. Guided by a budding interest in technology, he headed west to Silicon Valley and Stanford University. After switching majors many, many times, David decided to pursue a B.S. in Science, Technology, and Society, combining his interests in computer science and data science to address the emerging ethical issues and social movements of the 21st century.

This breadth of knowledge qualified David to work in a variety of settings, including a virtual reality lab, an educational non-profit, and even an industrial supplies distributor. After his time at Stanford, David immediately joined the Corporate Finance Management team at McMaster-Carr, became a part-time AI Instructor for Inspirit AI, and is now a passionate college consultant at Admissionado.

Reflecting upon his humble beginnings, David recognizes how the great support he was given throughout his life was instrumental to his success. He is now ready to express his gratitude by helping other students through their college admissions process. By centering his consulting approach around compassion and empathy, David hopes to make a warm environment where his students feel empowered and confident to write their own narrative (literally and figuratively). His proudest achievement, has been helping a fellow FLI (first-generation, low-income) student gain admission into Stanford University.

When David is not working, he loves to play his Nintendo Switch with friends or brush up on his dancing by practicing baile folklórico (Mexican folk dance).
