Master of Finance Deadlines: September 2019 Intake

February 01, 2019 :: Admissionado Team

If you’ve been considering a Master of Finance degree, but haven’t applied yet, you still have a chance to start in September 2019.

However, you’ll have to act fast if you want to be competitive! MFin programs are usually contained within a university’s business school, but the application procedures are often closer to a traditional master of science or arts degree than an MBA.

For deadlines, this means rolling admissions with a final cutoff deep into spring. In rolling admissions systems, applications are reviewed as they come in, meaning the sooner you can submit, the better. Here’s a list of upcoming deadlines for the September 2019 intake to top MFin programs:

Toronto Rotman round two deadline is Feburary 7 (rolling)

ESADE round four deadline is February 12 (rolling)*

Imperial College Business School round two deadline is February 18 (rolling)*

ESSEC round three deadline is February 20 (rolling)*

HEC Paris round three deadline is February 27 (rolling)*

UCLA Anderson round two deadline is March 1 (rolling)*

London Business School round four deadline is March 5 (rolling)*

UC Berkeley Haas round two deadline is March 13 (rolling)*

Erasmus (RSM) round one deadline is March 15

WHU Otto Beisheim round three deadline is March 27 (rolling)

Alliance Manchester round two deadline is March 31*

Oxford Said round three deadline is April 5 (rolling)

WU Vienna round three deadline is April 8 (rolling)

ESCP Europe round two deadline is April 19 (rolling)*

Bocconi round two deadline is April 29 (rolling)

University of St. Gallen round one deadline is April 30

Cambridge Judge round one deadline is May 31

London School of Economics has no deadline (rolling), but the financial aid deadline is April 26

IE Business School has no deadline (rolling)

Warwick Business School has no deadline (rolling)

(* indicates that there are other deadline rounds later in the year, all other deadlines are final.)

Astute applicants may notice a couple of big names missing (for example, MIT Sloan)—by our count, five of the top 25 MFin programs have already closed their doors to applications. However, that still leaves plenty of choice for late round applicants.

Those who start their MFin application process now face greater challenges given that most schools have already chosen a significant portion of their September 2019 class, but there are still spaces available for those with competitive experience, a compelling essay, and a considered admissions argument.
