Get a look at Chinese applications that worked, and find out how to make YOURs work.

10 Biggest MBA Application Mistakes ($20)
September 12: 8:30 PM EST

Every year, thousands of great applicants try their luck at MBA programs across the globe, and every year people make the same big mistakes. Mistakes that can be easily avoided. GI Joe once said that “knowing is half the battle.” Jon Frank says, “come to this webinar and you’ll be one step closer to winning that battle.” OK, so he didn’t say that, but he’s gonna share the biggest application mistakes with you so you know what they are and can avoid ‘em in your applications.

How To Write MBA Application Essays ($20)
September 18: 10:30 AM EST

Unlike any other grad school app out there, the essays in an MBA application play a HUGE role. It’s all about what you say and how you say it. Which is great if you’re a great writer. But what if you’re not? [Don’t worry – most MBAs are not!] How do you… you know… write those essays? First step: this one-hour webinar. Jon Frank and some of our most senior editors are going to break down the process for you and show you what makes a great MBA application essay, what makes a not-so-great MBA application essay, and how to get yours into the former group.

Debunking MBA Application Myths ($20)
September 24: 9PM EST

For every business school out there, there are TONS of misconceptions, misinformation, and outright myths about how to apply. [Did you hear the one about changing up the format of your resume for each school? Ha!] During this webinar, Jon Frank will be playing Politifact in the world of MBA apps, helping you sort out between the truth and the “Pants on Fire!” rumors, hearsay, and downright lies that surround the MBA application process.

The Ins and Outs of the Optional Essay ($20)
September 28: 10AM EST

The Optional Essay is one of the trickiest parts of any MBA application. What is it? When should you write it? And how do you do so effectively? You’ll know the answer to those questions and more after this class. We’ll break it all down and explain when you should (and when you absolutely should not) provide additional information for the adcom, as well as specific strategies to ensure it works for, and not against, you.

The Unique Challenges of the Indian IT Applicant ($20)
October 7: 8PM IST

Every Indian applicant has heard it before: “You’re coming from the most competitive applicant pool! It’s going to be tough for you.” But… uh, why? And what does that mean for you and your applications? How do you rise above the rest of those applicants? Well, first things first, you gotta know what you’re up against, and then you gotta know how to overcome those challenges. We’re gonna cover both of those things in this one-hour class, and get you ready for the road ahead.

Crushing the MBA Resume ($20)
October 10: 9:30PM EST

The MBA resume isn’t your typical deal. After all, you’re not looking for a job; you’re looking to show the adcom that you’ve got what it takes to success in business school. And that requires a whole different focus. This one-hour class will show you the what, the how and they why of putting together a crackling, results driven resume that will make the adcom’s mouth water.

How Chinese Grads Can Get a Job in the US…and Abroad
October 15: 8:00PM China Standard Time

You’re applying to school for one reason: to get a job. But that's easier said than done, especially for Chinese students. Why is it so hard for China folks to get jobs in the US? Jon Frank, CEO of Admissionado, will be tackling this subject head-on, providing the US employers' perspective and walking you step-by-step through the process of getting a job in the US. During the one-hour session, he'll share success stories from people who studied abroad and got jobs abroad. He'll also provide interview prep tips so that you'll CRUSH that interview and get the jobs you're aiming for.

Non-Traditional Backgrounds and the MBA Application ($20)
October 18: 9PM EST

So, you don’t work in a bank. Or in consulting. Or in business of any kind. You’re a teacher. Or an environmental guy. Or an artist who needs an MBA to open a gallery. And for the purposes of an MBA application, that’s a great thing (you’re unique) and a challenge (you’re different). Learn the right way to brand yourself for the adcom and prove that you’re the right and best person for their program.

LIVE Mock Interview ($20)
October 28: 8:30 PM EST

Ah, the MBA interview. You get one of these and you’re one step closer to a b-school admit letter. Of course, first you gotta get through the interview… successfully. And contrary to popular belief, it really isn’t that hard [definitely easier than a job interview!], so long as you’re prepared. And what better way to prepare than to listen in on a live interview and learn from it? That’s what we think, anyway, and that’s exactly what we’re gonna do in this one-hour event. Jon Frank will interview one MBA applicant LIVE, and provide critiques and feedback along the way. Whether you’re the interviewee or just listening in, you’ll walk away with tips and strategies to use in your OWN MBA interview(s).

Want to be our interviewee? Send your resume to Lauren@admissionado.com by October 15th!

Truth is, there’s a lot you need to do LONG before you actually sit down to write those apps. Things that can make or break your chances. What are they? Well, join us and you’ll find out.

LORs, 101 ($20)
November 11: 9PM EST

Whom do you ask? How do you ask? What do they need to say? How does an effective and compelling LOR read? We’ll get into all of that and more in this one-hour session.
